A Bit of Background

Welcome to Ebbsfleet Neighbourhood Watch, what is the Neighbourhood Watch? Our aim is to bring neighbours together and to create a strong, friendly and active community to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour within our neighbourhood. Our goal is that of a caring and respectful community where people are safe from crime with a quality of life we can be proud of. The NhW is doing what it does best by making fewer people feel afraid, Isolated and vulnerable in their own homes. With active members of the Neighbourhood Watch in both Ebbsfleet Valley and Ebbsfleet Green working with their NhW Coordinator whom with the Local council and Police aim to make our Neighbourhood welcoming to all residents

A message from Whitecliffe Project Team

“Good Morning,

Due to road closures within the construction area from Alkerden to Castle Hill from 27-28 April, two developers and one contractor will need to temporarily access Alkerden via Whitecliffe Road and the Alkerden Gate. On these dates, there will be an increase in construction traffic along Whitecliffe Road, and we would ask all road users to take extra care.

The UK government’s new Emergency Alerts system is now live.
The system will enable people to be contacted via their mobile phone when lives are in danger. On Sunday 23 April 2023 at 3pm, there will be a national test of the Emergency Alerts service.

It will be used to warn you in the event of emergencies, such as severe flooding.

Emergency Alerts are sent to all compatible mobile phones within an area of risk. They don’t track your location, need your phone number, or collect personal data. Only the government and the emergency services will be able to send them. If you don’t have a mobile phone, you’ll still be kept informed through other channels.

If you get an Emergency Alert on your phone, you’ll hear a loud, siren-like sound. A message on your screen will tell you about the emergency and how best to respond. You’ll be able to check an alert is genuine at gov.uk/alerts

If you receive an alert, read the alert carefully and follow the instructions.

You can opt out of receiving emergency alerts; for more information on how to opt out please go to gov.uk/alerts

Kent Police - Press Release.
Kent Police were called at 10.36pm on Monday 20 April 2020 to reports of a fight in Swanscombe High Street.
Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended and two men were taken to hospital with injuries consistent with stab wounds. A third man was also taken to hospital to be treated for minor injuries. All three were later discharged from hospital and arrested on suspicion of affray. They currently remain in police custody.
